<\/i>I am interested in supporting the YBA. What are the first steps?<\/a><\/h3>
[vc_column_text]The most common first step is to apply to be a guest speaker. It will give you the opportunity to see our program in action. Go to www.youthbizalliance.org\/speakers<\/a> to apply and gain access to our speaking calendar. The speaking slots take place throughout the school day. Choose a date(s) and upload your presentation.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

<\/i>What is my commitment as a YBA Guest Speaker?<\/a><\/h3>
[vc_column_text]Once you sign up for a speaking slot, please know that the students are counting on you!\u00a0 If you must cancel, please work with us to find a replacement from among your colleagues or your company. Some of our guest speakers speak once a year while others speak at more than one location.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

<\/i>Do I have to use a Powerpoint presentation?<\/a><\/h3>
[vc_column_text]We strongly encourage you to have a PowerPoint or Google Slide presentation to support your story with visuals. Our team can provide you with a slide template to make your job easier.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

<\/i>What is the time frame and structure of the presentation?<\/a><\/h3>
[vc_column_text]Class lengths may vary, but typically we encourage speakers to allow ample time for questions from the students. Students are interested in the pivotal points in your life and career journey, what you do on a day-to-day basis for your job, how you made your life and career choices and the obstacles you have had to overcome.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

<\/i>How do I get the YBA teacher a copy of my presentation?<\/a><\/h3>
[vc_column_text]Once you upload your presentation on the website the teacher should have access. As a backup you can email yourself the presentation or store it in a Dropbox folder.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

<\/i>Do I need to bring my own equipment? (Laptop, projector, etc\u2026)<\/a><\/h3>
[vc_column_text]No, the school will already have a laptop and projector set up. If you would like audio, please ask the YBA teacher if that can be arranged. Once you sign up to speak you should get a confirmation email with the teacher\u2019s contact info.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

<\/i>Do I have to be part of the class group picture?<\/a><\/h3>
[vc_column_text]Your participation in the class picture are optional. We do post the picture on our social media and send you a copy. If you would like to opt out of the picture, just let the teacher know.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

<\/i>Where are your schools?<\/a><\/h3>
[vc_column_text]YBA schools and partner organizations are mainly in the Greater Los Angeles area.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

<\/i>How big are the classes?<\/a><\/h3>
[vc_column_text]The classes can vary in size but typically range between 20 \u2013 35 students.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>
